1999 EuroBOSS Champion and sportscar ace, Nigel Greensall, today announced that he will race a Benetton Ford HB V8 3.5 in this weekends opening round of the 2006 EuroBOSS season to be held at Brands Hatch, adding additional spice to an already impressive grid. The Dave Shelton owned Benetton, having only ever raced 8 times, will be race prepared by 2000 and 2003 Championship winning team Kockney Koi, making the pairing a formidible force for the race on Sunday.
Greensall is looking for a win at Brands but first he must overcome the challenge of racing in the 500 Miles de Spa Francorchamps. Greensall will run the Benetton in the first practice at Brands, allowing him to start the race at the back of the grid, before jetting off to Belgium to relieve his co-driver one and a half hours into the Spa race. Then, 18 single seaters many with F1 credentials, will line up for Sundays race at Brands Hatch with Greensall eager to prove that he is the cream of the crop.
"This weekend is going to be an interesting challenge for me but I am happy to be racing at two fantastic circuits" explains Greensall. "The Kockney Koi team have tremendous racing experience as well as winning two championships and I'm looking forward to working with them. It will be hard starting from the rear of the grid but I will relish the fight and aim for a good result."
Greensall made his EuroBOSS debut in 1997 clinching 4 outright lap records at the wheel of a European Racing Tyrrell Judd 3.5 V10 owned by ex-Minardi team boss, Paul Stoddart.
