HOCKENHEIM RACE REPORT - RACES 1 AND 2!

16 cars practiced, with qualifying dominated by Team Ascari, with Pierre Schroeder from Luxemburg on pole positon. In race 1, Schroeder had transmission failure, leaving the race to be dominated by team mate Dutchman Klaas Zwart. Disqualification of EuroBOSS Masters rivals Tony Hansford from England and Henk de Boer from the Netherlands, left the class victory to Henry Buettner from Germany, in his F3000 Reynard. Overall 2nd place went to Austrian Peter Milavec in his F1 engined Lola F3000, and 3rd to Englands Terry Sayles in his F1 Dallara Judd V10.

Race 2. A frightening startline accident between Milavec and Sayles eliminated both cars from racing for the next two months, extensive repairs required on both cars. Importantly both drivers were OK. At the restart the Ascari of Zwart and the now repaired sister car of Schroeder shot off to an impressive one-two, and final place on the podium to the well driven Simtek of EuroBOSS debutant Peter Alexander from England, chased home by the fast improving Dutchman Frits van Eerd in his Tyrrell. A accident involving Hansford and Italian Walter Colacino left the EuroBOSS Masters class to the ever cheerfull Henry Buttner again.
